Kangaroo Paw
MACLEOD.

Completed in April 2024, this colourful native garden designed by Plantae LA has brightened up the neighbourhood. The frontyard is adorned with large granite boulders that help to retain the steep aspect of the block. A level area up top, accessed via the chunky timber stairs provides a place to catch up with neighbours - with the colourful native plantings providing plenty of interest for the local wildlife (as well as passers-by!).

The backyard includes a productive zone with raised round concrete planters accessed by bluestone steppers through the garden. The steppers continue throughout the backyard through a kids play-zone to a functional, adaptable space that can be accessed from the front driveway.

Eucalyptus gregsoniana (Wolgan Snow Gum), Anigozanthos spp. (Kangaroo Paw), Xerochrysum spp. (Paper Daisy) and Chrysocephalum apiculatum (Yellow Buttons) provide instant effect, with other shrubs providing form, texture and contrast.
