ID Landscaping was engaged to help deliver the renewal of Mary McKillop Reserve Playground in Surrey Hills, transforming this much-loved neighbourhood park into a more engaging, inclusive and family-friendly community space. The upgrade retained the spirit of the original castle-themed playground while introducing modern play elements suited to a broader age range.

The renewed playground features separate play zones for toddlers, younger children and older kids, incorporating elements such as low-level climbing, imaginative play panels, a taller tower with net climbs, new slides, and a variety of swing options. These upgrades provide a balanced mix of active, creative, and skill-building play opportunities, encouraging children to explore and challenge themselves safely.

Surrounding landscape works were designed to enhance the overall usability of the reserve, adding new seating, picnic areas, pathways and open green spaces. These elements support multi-generational use and create a welcoming environment for families, carers, and the broader community. Nature-play elements and soft landscaping also help soften the space, allowing children to move between structured and imaginative outdoor play.
