Landscape Site Supervisor

Come join our award-winning construction crew at ID Landscaping and be at the forefront of delivering beautiful, sustainable and functional landscapes and residential gardens across Melbourne’s North-Eastern suburbs with occasional rural and coastal opportunities.


If you're qualified, have experience supervising a small team on landscape projects and are looking for a new chapter in your landscaping career then we are on the lookout for a suitably qualified, experienced, reliable and talented landscaper to join our team in early 2025. With a pipeline of quality, diverse projects you will enjoy the challenge but be supported along the way by the Project Team and Senior Supervisors.


The essentials: 

  • Qualified Landscaper with CERT III Landscape Construction or exceptional industry experience 

  • Experience in managing a small landscape team on residential or commercial projects

  • Driver’s License and Construction White Card

  • A real team-player with a can-do attitude, contributing to a positive workplace culture built on mutual respect and taking pride in our work 

  • Excellent knowledge of hard and soft landscaping  

  • Able to read and interpret plans   

  • Using Signal to update crew and send messages when required  

  • Strong communication skills  

  • Problem-solving skills  

  • Ability to recognise all hazards and report incidents via company processes   

  • Strong attention to detail and high standards of work 

  • Visual and spatial creativity  

 

It’d be a bonus if you had: 

  • Machine Operator & MR/HR Licenses with operational experience 

  • Valid Working With Children’s Check 

  • Up-to-date First Aid certificate 

  • Experience in site management and supervision, ensuring works are delivered to a high standard and with safety front of mind.

Hiring 1st and 2nd year apprentice landscapers

Apprentices - 1st & 2nd year positions available

Learn lifelong skills and attain your Cert III in Landscape Construction through on-the-job learning, under the guidance of our experienced, award-winning landscaping team.


  • Full-time position

  • Driver's license essential


Our depot is situated in the leafy north-eastern suburb of Research, so ideally you live in the local area or are willing and able to commute.


You'll earn while you learn:

  • Practical skills covering all facets of landscaping

    • Drainage systems

    • Setting out sites

    • Brick, block and masonry structures and features

    • Stonework: including paving and cladding

    • Concrete features, pavements and driveways

    • Retaining walls

    • Plants, plant establishment & maintenance

    • Soils and remediations for garden beds and turf

    • Automated irrigation systems


Apprentices at ID Landscaping also receive training and subsequent licenses for operating machinery (bobcats and excavators) and medium-rigid (MR) truck licenses at appropriate progression points throughout the apprenticeship.


Successful applicants are able to choose how they complete the formal training through a Registered Training Provider such as a TAFE. On-the-job learning, with assessment and coaching through Murray Mallee Training provides one path to qualification, while other providers offer practical on-campus training conducted in blocks throughout the year. We encourage potential applicant to consider their options and what will work best for them.
